Dear Heavenly Father,
We come to you today with heavy hearts as we struggle to understand the complexities of divorce. We know that you hate divorce and it was never your intention for families to be torn apart. Yet, we also recognize that sometimes it is necessary due to brokenness and sin in our world.
Lord, we pray for all those who have experienced divorce, both the adults and the children involved. We ask for your peace to surround them and your healing to mend their broken hearts. Help them to find comfort in your love and to trust in your plan for their lives.
We also pray for those who may be considering divorce. Give them wisdom and clarity, Lord. Help them to see beyond their hurt and anger and to seek your will for their marriage. May they find the strength to forgive and the courage to work towards restoration.
Lord, we pray for those who are struggling to understand divorce. May they find compassion and empathy in their hearts as they support and comfort those who are going through it. Guide us to be a source of love and support to our friends and family who may be facing this difficult journey.
Finally, we pray for a world where divorce is no longer necessary. May your love and grace fill our hearts, homes, in Jesus name Amen.
